UPSC Aspirant Steals Jewelery but Caught Red-Handed on the Spot

CCTV footage of a man stealing diamond rings in Delhi is making rounds on social media platforms. The viral video shows a man identified as Praveen in a Tanishq jewelry shop. Unlike others, his intention was not to buy jewelry. He smoothly initiates conversations with the salesperson. Then he picks one piece of jewelry and asks the salesperson to enquire about other jewelry. As she moves from the place the man quickly puts the diamond ring in his pocket.

However, the whole incident was being recorded on the CCTV. So the owner informs the officials about the news. When police asked Praveen to show his pockets, sensing the danger, he tried to escape. But he didn’t succeed and was caught down the road.

Later the jewelry was recovered from the man. The man is a resident of Rohtak Haryana and preparing for UPSC in New Delhi. His financial situation was the main reason behind his act as confessed.
