Everyone in the virtual world is well aware of the Word “Hacker”. Day by day hackers’ activities are getting outrageous. Not only common people but also political parties being prey to hackers’ activities. Hackers are showcasing their skills by targeting some big parties. Recently, the AIMIM party official Twitter handle has been hacked.
On Sunday, July 18, AIMIM’s official Twitter account was hacked. Not only that, the hacker removed the party’s official Twitter account bio and changed the photo to Elon Musk. Along with this its official name has been changed from the AIMIM to Billionaire “Elon Musk”
However, the hacker has not made any new tweets, but he made some interesting comments. Anonymous seems to be very curious and fond of cryptocurrency. Because after hacking AIMIM party official Twitter accounts he commented in favor of cryptocurrency. In addition, he replied to one of Elon Musk’s tweets too.
As soon as the official owners of the page got the news, they immediately responded. Also, an official complaint against this has been made. Based on reports, officials are making their full efforts to secure the hacked account. The official Twitter account has about 6.75 lakh followers.
Surprisingly, this is not the first the AIMIM twitter official handle being hacked. Earlier, Nine days back, the same situation happened with AIMIM’s official Twitter account. But the officials got control over the handle from hackers. It was quickly restored from hackers before they made any changes. Whereas this time, the hackers not only changed the name but also commented on others’ posts.
Based on reports, this time hackers took over the account around 1 PM on Sunday. The officials have taken all the necessary steps, and a complaint has been filed in Hyderabad PS. Along with this, another Twitter account from an AIMIM member seems to be the next targeted account.
Meanwhile, another member of the AIMIM party, Uttar Pradesh State president Shaukat Ali Twitter handle has been restricted. Based on facts, the account was restricted because there was “unusual activity” from the account. The officials are looking in the direction of whether there is any link between these incidents.
The hacking happened at a time when the AIMIM party announced its intention of contesting the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. As a part of this, earlier this month, AIMIM party president Asaduddin Owaisi visited Uttar Pradesh to address the public. Whether there is a link between these two situations is still unknown.
Apart from this, a few days ago the Indore police website was also hacked. The hackers even posted content against PM Narendra Modi. They posted along with slogans like “free Kashmir” and “hailing Pakistan”
With all this, it is reasonable to say that hackers are getting more public showing off their skills. Mainly they are targeting political party leaders and popular accounts. Officials are taking all the necessary actions towards restoring control over these accounts. But keeping accounts away from hackers needs more effort from the officials and social media platforms. If we don’t find an effective solution for this, then it could lead to many unknown situations. And things could get easily messy and uncontrollable.
