India Will Experience The Starlink Internet Very Soon, Elon Musk Says !

Starlink Internet Very Soon

India is one of the largest and fastest-growing countries in the world. For any type of service or product provider, India has a lot to offer. India is the second most populated country in the world, so there is huge potential for the user base of any product or service that satisfies their needs. One such service is the Starlink project developed by Billionaire, visionary Elon Musk.

Elon Musk’s Starlink project is currently in beta state and it has been providing its service nearly in 14 countries, including the US, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and others. However, it has not yet reached the Indian market. Indian audiences are eagerly waiting for Starlink to make its debut in India.

Addressing the same issue, a Twitter user named Tryonset asked Elon Musk saying “Dear Elon, when will you launch Starlink services in India? We and our existing customers waiting for wireless internet service. Elon Musk, who is hyperactive on social media platforms, especially Twitter, has replied. Elon Musk replied to the Tryonset question saying “Just figuring out the regulatory approval process in India”.

This means Starlink is very close to making its debut in India. Perhaps it is closer than we expected, going by Elon’s reply. However, he didn’t confirm the exact or any timeline about the matter. Indian users have to wait for a bit longer to experience the Starlink Services. As Starlink is rapidly progressing, we may even get better speeds and high coverage.

Based on the countries that are already using the Starlink services, the services are in beta and there is no download limit. Coming to the speed of the service, it varies from a range of 50Mbps to 150Mbps. Interestingly, it has very little latency than any other Internet service provider out there. Starlink services have only the latency in most locations, between 20ms to 40ms.

The Starlink project was started by SpaceX in the year 2008. SpaceX launched the service of providing internet connectivity by using a constellation of satellites. Initially, two satellites were launched into the earth’s lower orbit in the month of February back in 2018. However, that number of satellites kept going up as the years progressed.

One of the interesting things about Starlink services is that it’s very low latency. Well, if you ask how it was able to achieve such a low latency even at that speed level, then here is your answer. Starlink uses constellation satellites which are launched into the Low Earth Orbit (LEO). This means Starlink mini-satellites are over 60 times closer to earth than traditional satellites. As a result, they can deliver lower latency connectivity to their regions.

Not only that, SpaceX has recently deployed nearly 1800 satellites for the purpose of improving the Starlink coverage. The company officials have informed that “once these satellites reach their operational orbit and get into fully operating modes. We could see a global coverage of the Starlink service by September 2021.
