From school kids to old people everyone is aware of the biggest online shopping platform Amazon. Thanks to Jeff Bezos, who founded this revolutionary e-commerce company back in 1994 on July 5. Initially, he started this company as an online bookstore. In the beginning, Bezos himself packaged orders and shifted them to post offices.
After 27 years of continuous efforts that made this garage startup idea into a multibillion-dollar company. Jeff Bezos became one of the world’s wealthiest people and one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time.
Today on Monday, he stepped down from the position of CEO of amazon. Andy Jassy is now the CEO of this global brand. He was the man who founded the cloud computing service, Amazon Web Services, back in 2006.
Initially, he joined Bezos Amazon back in 1997 as a marketing manager. So he is not new to the Amazon workplace. In fact, he is one of the people who knows Amazon both in and out. Also, he is said to be Jeff Bezos’s disciple, and he admired Bezos and with him and company every step of the way.
Jeff Bezos also ensured that Andy Jassy is the best fit for this position. Bezos said that “Andy Jassy is very well known in the company and has been serving in Amazon as long as I have”. We have also seen him supporting social matters like black lives matter and LGBTQ issues.
On Monday he took the position of CEO of this world’s largest eCommerce store, Amazon. Everyone congratulated him on social media platforms. Everyone is confident that he will drive Amazon to new heights.
On the other hand, Jeff Bezos will not completely out of Amazon. He is still the company’s largest shareholder and will remain the executive chairperson. But he will not be participating in daily management decisions.
However, he has plenty of other projects to occupy his time. Jeff Bezos has many projects to look forward to. Some of them are his plans for space travel this month with his brother and best friend Mark. Based on reports this is the first crewed flight of his space travel company Blue Origin that will make its flight debut on July 20.
If this becomes successful Bezos will set the new record as the first billionaire to travel to space. Along with this, he has plans for fighting the environmental crisis and he’s planning a wheel of an electric pickup truck built by Rivian. Which is a startup company that Amazon funded.
Right now Jeff Bezos is in his 57 but looks like his adventurous journey is just getting started. His business strategies and innovations have greatly influenced how the company evolved over the years. From the online bookstore to supplying every other essential and then entering tech fields with AWS. Later it entered into entertainment with its Amazon prime and more.
Jeff Bezos’ 27 years efforts made Amazon one of the largest companies in the world. He changed how businesses operate worldwide. His passion for changing the world’s biggest problems continuously surprises us. We are looking forward to more of such glorious adventures and endeavors unfolding in his life.
