Better work/life balance: Work from home culture allows employees to stay connected with their families and work staff at the same time. Being close to family reduces stress and promotes better mental health. They can take better care of themselves and their family members, especially in the current situation.

Disadvantages

Productivity: At home, sometimes it could be difficult to stay focused and productive. Because there will be many distractions at home, like kids playing around, pets, and other noises.

Isolation: If an employee lives alone, then it may not be the best option for him/her. Some people consider social interactions and communicating with others as important as their mental health. Which will be very difficult if they are working from home, especially for people who are staying by themselves.

Technical failures are hard to solve: If you’re working from home and experience any technical failure, then it would be very difficult to solve. Also, when a company provides all the equipment, there is a risk of security.

Work From Office

Advantages

Better Productivity: In offices, there will be fewer distractions. You can better focus on the task at the hand. In case you experience any technical difficulties, you can ask your fellow members.

Communication: When you are working from an office, you will have more opportunities to polish your communication skills. When you work from an office allows you to interact with others face to face and enables you to build better relationships.

Better equipment and network: Most of the companies have better network connections than we have at our home. So you can work without worrying about the broadband signal. Also, companies provide all the equipment you need. In case you face any technical issue, they will rectify it within minutes.

Disadvantages

Maintenance: Companies have to take care of infrastructure maintenance and other utility bills. Employees have to spend on transportation and petrol price if they own vehicles.

Work/Life balance: You will spend most of your time in the office itself. In case if you do some overtime at your workplace, then traveling back home is quite exhausting. You won’t have the energy level to spend some quality time with family members. All you want to do is relax or take a nap.

Conclusion

Both work from home and office have their own benefits and drawbacks. Also, it depends on the profession that you are doing. If you need to operate heavy machines, then work from the office is a must. So let us know which one you prefer between these two.
