National Shooter Died by Suicide Because of Her Last Performance

National Shooter Konika Layak has taken her life because of her poor performance in recent competitions. This unfortunate incident took place in Kolkata. On Thursday she was found hanging dead in her hostel room. Based on reports, she was training currently with former Olympian Joydeep Karmakar.

Her coach has informed, that she was missing a lot of training for the last few weeks. He further added she was very disappointed with her performance in the last competition. She has been depressed about her last performance for some days.

Back in the day, she received a 2.5 lakh german rifle as a gift from the Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. Her suicide news has made the entire country mourn.
