Yoga is an ancient Indian gift to the world. Regular Yoga practices can improve your mental and physical health. Yoga practice comprises a set of poses, deep breathing, and concentration. Addressing India and the world, Narendra Modi spoke about yoga and its importance in our daily lives.

PM Modi stated that when everyone in the world is having a hard time with COVID-19, the practice of yoga turned out to be “a ray of hope”. Yoga gave us a new perspective to look at our lives in this crisis. To cope with these challenging times, yoga encouraged us to alternate our daily routines. Making yoga practices a crucial part of our daily activities.

This year the theme for International Yoga Day 2021 is “Yoga for Wellness” elaborated by PM Modi. It shows us how important Yoga is, in one’s life for developing mental and physical wellbeing. Yoga For Wellness theme for this international yoga will encourage people to practice yoga. It will increase awareness among people about yoga practice and its benefits.

Along with this PM, Modi launched the mYoga app today. This app was launched successfully in collaboration with WHO. Right now you can download the app from the play store. This mYoga app will be accessible all around the world. It has audio and video training modules, so anyone can acquire the necessary knowledge to experience the benefits of Yoga.

Also, the content in the mYoga app is available in different languages for the convenience of people all around the world. Now Yoga, Ancient Indian knowledge will be open to the entire world. No matter what part of the world you are in, you can access this yoga science with just a few clicks. The Main Motto behind the app is “One World, One Health”

They designed the mYoga in collaboration between the WHO and Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Homeopathy, and the Government of India. With all the experts’ knowledge and scientific research, everything is available for you to access free of cost.

The app does not need any information from your end, all you need to do is simply watch and practice. You can access everything just from the comfort of your home. Along with this, to do this practice you don’t need any equipment. You just need a comfortable place to sit and stand and a peaceful environment.

As per officials informed, nearly 1500 inmates across three jail complexes in the national capital performed yoga practices today on the occasion of international yoga day.

Prisoners from Tihar, Rohini, and Mandoli took part in this at the same time maintaining social distancing norms. This yoga session took place between 7 am to 9 am.

Along with this, many celebrities and business people flooded social media supporting yoga day.

Do you know how this amazing yoga day came into the picture? Prime Minister Narendra Modi initially proposed this yoga day on September 27, 2014. Later this draft resolution was endorsed by a record 177 state members. PM Modi proposed June 21 as the International Yoga Day because it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. All the 177 member states of UNGA agreed to celebrate June 21 as International Yoga day.
