Survey reports reveal people’s opinion about the Modi Government

Because of the coronavirus crisis, we have witnessed more problems in the last year than in the last decade. Many people have lost their jobs, family members and India faced a serious economic crisis. Somehow the government tried to mitigate the damage of the coronavirus crisis, despite that, the crisis had made its impact on both the economy and peoples’ lives. Many people think that the government is to blame, but it is hard to say entirely it’s the government’s fault.

To determine what people are thinking about the present Government and its efforts to overcome this crisis, several surveys have been conducted. Here we will see some results from those surveys.

Based on India’s top survey, “The Mood of the Nation”

When surveyed “what they think of the Central Government’s efforts to handle economic problems because of the crisis”. Nearly 47% of people informed good, 22% said average, 20% people informed outstanding and 10% of the population said poor.

When asked “Do you want the Government to provide COVID-19 vaccine for free. Nearly 92% surveyed members said yes, 7% said no and only 1% agreed to either of them.

When asked, surveyed members their opinion about Modi’s performance as Prime Minister. 44% of the people from the survey supported Modi’s government. Only 8% of the surveyed members said Modi’s government handled it very poorly. Rest falls in between.

The biggest achievement of the Modi Government as per survey results

Based on survey results nearly 27% of members from the survey said Modi’s biggest success is Verdict on Ram temple in Ayodhya. 20% started the revocation of Article 370 in Kashmir. And only 15% agreed the Government’s effort towards handling the Coronavirus crisis is part of his achievements.

The biggest failures of the Modi Government, survey results as follows.

Based on survey results, 29% of opinions revealed unemployment as the biggest failure of the Modi government during this Covid crisis. And 13% opinion is favored towards the price rise in the economy and 10% informed demonetization as the biggest failure. 9% of the surveyed members said the government has failed in handling Farmer’s protest and distress. Where only 8% of them stated the Modi government has failed in handling the Covid-19 crisis.

Survey also brought light to the most devastating problems that Indian families are facing.

The survey revealed that nearly 25% of the population lost one of their family members. When asked how many of them are satisfied with the treatment at the hospital, 22% of them said they are not satisfied while the majority members 76% said they are satisfied with the treatment. And 66% of them have experienced income-related problems.

Apart from this, a US data intelligence firm collected data by Morning Consult informed that Modi’s approval ratings dropped 32 percent. Modi’s approval rate stands at 64% down from a peak of 84%.

Based on the data, it is mainly because of the government’s effort towards handling the COVID-19. India has witnessed devastating 3.91lakh cases on a single day 8th of May this year. On the same day, Modi’s approval ratings have decreased to 64%.

Final thoughts

These are the results from India’s top survey Mood of the nation. Based on reports, India performed very badly against COVID second wave. Even the Vaccination drive faced one hurdle after another. Also, Medical facilities had become a serious issue for Modi’s government to handle. Despite India’s worst performance among other countries, Modi’s net approval stands above all other global leaders.
