Right now, China has been facing the worst situation, with floods and heavy rains, for the last few days. It is experiencing heavy rainfall that it has not even witnessed in over 1000 years. China is facing the devastating loss of life and damage to property in dozens of cities, mainly Zhengzhou and Henan city.

Based on reports, Zhengzhou city has witnessed 617.1mm of rain in the last few days. Which is equal to eight months of rain in just a single day. It is the worst scenario for the Chinese People and government. Also, China’s central Henan region sees the heaviest rainfall in 1000 years.

The entire Zhengzhou city has been filled with floodwater. Hotels, subways, and nearly every building in the city are filled with floodwater. Many people lost everything they had: homes, crops, properties, etc. Some people who took subways appeared in videos involved in neck-deep floodwaters. Twelve people have been killed in the subway station when they were hit by the floodwater. Also, many people who were traveling on the train got severely injured as the train got hit by the floodwater.

The Shaolin Temple, home of many Buddhist monks and mastery of martial arts, also collapsed because of the floods. Many people have been trapped in the floodwater and struggling to get to a safe place. Nearly 1.24 million people have been affected by devastating heavy rainfalls and floods. It is hard to recover the hit for the government causing billions of losses economically and human resources.

These devastating rains have crashed many dams, riverbanks, and buildings. Making the situation more awful. Transportation, electricity, and other essential services were halted considering the floods.

Many videos and images have surfaced on the internet in the last few days. In some videos, there were people on the train who were trapped in floodwater. They were neck-deep in floodwaters and clinging to the handrails inside the train on Zhengzhou’s subway.

Some people filmed the flood water rising in the tunnels outside carriage windows. People in the subway station were terrified at the time. There was no single escape point for them, and water was coming from every direction at that time. At the end of the day, nearly 12 people had taken their last breath in those floodwaters and 5 were injured. Luckily, officials have rescued more than 500 people from that region.

Floods have hit schools, offices, with many people trapped on their premises with floodwater. Also, flights and power supply were brought down because of the emergency.

Authorities have issued the highest warning level for many cities. Thousands of rescue teams have deployed to help locals. The floods have affected nearly 1.24 million people and rescue teams have evacuated 1.6lakh people successfully. Rescue operations are going on, and there are many people who still need help.
