Dalai Lama's 86th birthday

Dalai Lama is the most well-known personality all over the world for his efforts towards Tibetan freedom and spiritual teachings. His Holiness Dalai Lama was born on July 6, 1935, and today he turned 86. The Tibetan Buddhist communist is celebrating his birthday today.

On this special occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the 14th Dalai Lama and wished him a long and healthy life. After that, many wishes from all over the world flooded social media platforms. Political leaders, celebrities, and fans all over the world greeted the 14th Dalai Lama on his birthday.

The 14th Dalai Lama thanked everyone for the wishes. He even said that he would continue to serve humanity and combat climate change.

Right now, the Dalai Lama is living in Dharamshala as a refugee along with other Tibetans. They have been living here in Dharamshala as refugees since 1959.

He came to India to escape the Chinese government. The story begins in 1950 when the Chinese government invaded Tibet to liberate it. But its procedures were very brutal and violent, so Tibetans rebelled against it. Even at that time, the Dalai Lama was a very influential person in Tibet.

These situations eventually led to the 14th Dalai Lama’s escape to India. Most Tibetans believe that the 14th Dalai Lama is the reincarnation of Avalokiteshvara. They are considered as the self enlightened individuals who came here to help humanity.

His real name is Tenzin Gyatso, who has acquired global fame as a spiritual teacher. He is popularly known for imparting his knowledge and Buddhist teachings to common people. Despite his fame, he still thinks of himself as a “common Buddhist monk”

On his birthday, addressing everyone, he said how much he loves India and his admiration for India’s freedom and religious harmony. He even said that for the rest of his life he is committed to restoring ancient Indian knowledge as much as possible.

He appreciated India’s concept of secular values such as honesty, karuna, and ahimsa not dependent on religion. On his birthday he said he will be committed to non-violence and compassion till his death. He even said everyone should follow these principles for a better and peaceful world. He said that it is his gift to the world that everyone should keep in mind these two things, compassion and non-violence, in a video that was released today.

Previously the Dalai Lama in an interview expressed his desire to visit Wutai Shan. Back in 1954 he even spoke with a Chinese government official about his willingness to visit Wutai Shan but was told that there was no road. Wutai Shan is a sacred Buddhist site. But it entirely depends on the Chinese government. Whether to allow Dalai Lama to visit Wutai Shan.

Some experts suggested addressing the Sino-Tibetan conflict, that the Chinese government should recognize the value of His Holiness Dalai Lama. He can be the key to resolving this issue and the Chinese government should come to an agreement that could be beneficial for both parties. If that happens then the Chinese government may allow the Dalai Lama to visit Tibet again and fulfill his long-lasting desire to visit the Wutai shan pilgrimage.

But no one knows how the events will turn out, let’s hope for the best. We wish the 14th Dalai Lama a very happy birthday for successfully completing 86 years of his life and making a global impact.
