The COVID crisis has been the most devastating crisis that you have not seen in a long time. It affected every individual in the world. From the world-class millionaires to daily wagers, everyone has paid a heavy price during the crisis. To cope with this COVID-19 crisis, Indian government has initiated many ambitious projects. As a part of it, Now Telangana government has come with a new project that is turning heads all around social media. 

Telangana has initiated a medicine from the sky Project for delivering COVID vaccines. For this project, two very well-known companies in their field have come together. Both the companies Skye Air and BlueDart Express are working together to make this ambitious project a success. 

Recently, the Telangana government has announced that “as a part of the Medicine from the sky project, the flying trails will start from the 9 September to October 10 at Vikarabad. Skye Air mobility will be playing a major role in this project. Everyone is curious about the project. This will be the first time that drones being part of medical transportation. 

However, if the project goes well, the applications will be widened. We may see drones delivering medicines to groceries and other essentials for faraway places. Places that are beyond your line of sight. 

As of now, with this medicine from the sky projects, Telangana became the first state to try out drones in delivering COVID vaccines. Telangana government is planning to fly these drones beyond line-of-sight range. Initially, the government will be testing these drones by flying between 500 to 700 meters range. So the operators can easily view them with the naked eye. 

The initial two or three days will be for flying drones between 500 and 700 meters. From September 11 onwards, these BVLOS drones will be going to greater distances. Based on reports, these drones will go for 9-10km distances. For operating these drones, very skilled professionals will be selected as the drone operators. 

During the trials, these BVLOS drones will be carrying out medicines, vaccines, and other healthcare essentials, the statement said. On Monday, the Skye Air Mobility Co-founder Swapnik Jakkampundi expressed his gratitude and excitement towards this ambitious Medicine from the sky project. 

He said we are very delighted to be a part of this project and working with the Telangana government to revolutionizing the way healthcare systems will work in the upcoming days. He further added, “Skye Air mobility and BlueDart companies will be working together and will begin first flying trail demonstration from September 9. 

Also, it is worth noting that this is the first time that such flying trials are being conducted in real-time with real-time medicines and vaccines being carried. 

Telangana government is making its full efforts to make the vaccination process effective and faster. Day by day, the vaccination process is seeing constant improvement. As a part of it, this medicine from the sky project will be done. If this project goes as expected, then vaccination and medicines supply will be an exponential boost.
