Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will provide a specific health ID for every citizen in the country. All the health-related information of the users will be stored digitally. This allows all the previous health conditions of the users in one place. These health IDs will enable access for the health care providers with the person’s consent.
Speaking on the matter, PM Modi said that it will consist of two main components, such as Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) and the Healthcare Facilities Registries (HFR). This will help both citizens and healthcare service providers in delivering high-quality and on-time medical facilities and services.
Also, storing previous medical records of every person on their specific health ID is much more effective than maintaining large files. Within seconds, healthcare service providers can access all your health-related records from the past. Which will allow them to have a better understanding of citizens’ health conditions.
With this new Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, health care service providers can easily track their patients. Moreover, it will help in reducing inefficiencies and delivering the right treatment for people considering all his previous medical records. Citizens don’t have to carry their previous medical records from hospital to hospital anymore. They can simply provide consent for accessing their data from the health ID.
Currently, you can create these health IDS with the help of your mobile or Aadhaar. Along with that, you can even create a password for protecting your information. Whenever personal information comes into the picture, people’s main concern is privacy. So the government has already ensured that all your personal information and healthcare records will be maintained under high security.
In the future, the government will let you create your health IDs just by using your pan or driving license. There are more features and benefits that you can get through these health IDs. Currently, they are still under development.
