This smartphone is mainly for those who are still stuck with 2G phones and want to upgrade to 4G.
Mukesh Ambani at Reliance Industries 44th Annual General Meeting on Thursday introduced this new smartphone. Reliance jio partnered with Google to develop this affordable 4G smartphone. At the event, Mukesh Ambani informed that this will be the most affordable smartphone not just in India but globally.
This low-cost 4G smartphone comes with plenty of useful features. Also, you can access the entire suite of applications from Google. Users can download or install apps from Google Play Store. This new feature-rich smartphone will go on sale from September 10.
Even though India is the fastest growing country in the world, still nearly 300 million people are using 2G handsets. They are still not introduced to the digital era. The major reason for this is “they are not ready to pay Rs 5000 or more for a mobile device”. They can’t afford it. To meet their needs, developing a smartphone with a camera and 4G android experience is a hard task. And for most brands fitting all this in just a Rs 5000 phone is not possible.
However, Jio will soon change all those barriers. Reliance Jio Next 4G smartphone is developed especially for this segment of users. All the 2G users who can’t afford Android phone costs can now afford this low-cost Jio Next. Jio promised that it will be the most cost-effective solution for all the 2G users to get into 4G.

Also, it will receive Android OS and Security updates from time to time. However, there is no clear information on which Android version it will run.

You can even check the Myjio account balance by using your voice with the help of Google Assistance. In addition, JioPhone Next comes with a pre-installed Google Play Store and Google Play Protect.
