Philanthropist and Actor, Sonu Sood home has been Raided By Income Tax dept

During the COVID-19 crisis when millions of migrants struggling to reach their Sonu Sood appeared as a beacon of hope for them. At that government has announced a strict lockdown throughout the country. So there was no work or income source for all those migrants. They decided to reach back to their native places, but there was no transport due to lockdown. 

As there is no other way around, they decided to reach their native places by walking. It was very heartbreaking to see them as millions of people starting walking on the roads without food and shelter. Then Sonu Sood came into the picture and arranged transportation facilities to help them to reach their native places. He experienced sudden fame and popularity for his efforts. Which attracting many eyes all over the country.

Recently, the Delhi government choose him as the brand ambassador of the government’s ‘Desh ke Mentor’ program. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal made this news official last month. He praised the actor for his philanthropic efforts. Furthur added that Sonu Sood is the perfect fit for this program. 

The actor’s fame and popularity among both citizens and political parties have attracted many eyes. But we don’t know these things have any link with the latest IT raids that took place at Sonu Sood’s properties. Both Sonu Sood’s home and office in Mumbai have been raided for three days in a row. 

Income Tax Department has conducted the raid out of the blue. Raids took place at numerous locations related to the actor Sonu Sood. IT department informed that “the actor has evaded taxes over Rs 20 crores. Along with this, the IT dept statement announced his non-profit has raised Rs 2.1 crore from the international donors using a crowdfunding platform in violation of the law. 

Initially, the raid was conducted due to the dispute between the actor’s company and a Lucknow-based real estate firm. The raid has been done on allegations of tax evasion of a deal, as per reports. 

However, many political parties and social influencers called out the IT department saying the IT department is acting under the political leader’s influence. Many even linked the latest IT raid to the actor’s last month’s meeting with AAP. However, BJP spokesperson informed that there is no relation between the meeting and the raid. 

He said, “IT department is an independent department, it is just doing the job”. Along with that, he said, “It is just a search, not a raid. It’s not necessary that whoever does charity has done something wrong. 

The actor’s philanthropic efforts won millions of hearts across India. Many people made him a god, and the actor received much appreciation from everyone. Everyone was quite surprised at the sudden shift of an actor into a philanthropist. His efforts have received a lot of attraction from all over the country. 

Even after that, Sonu Sood has initiated many non-profit organizations to help people. He helped in supplying medical supplies and arranging hospital beds.
