She won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, but what she did next is out of everyone’s imagination. In a Facebook recent post, she auctioned off her silver Olympic medal for a great cause. To raise funds for eight-month-old Miloszek Malysa. Who was fighting for his life because of heart disease.

Over the past few months, he has been fighting the disease. Recently, his situation got much worse. The boy needs immediate heart surgery, otherwise, he may not be there to see another day. Regarding this, a fundraiser organization is collecting funds for the day for a couple of days.

Maria Andrejczyk heard about the boy on Facebook. That’s when she decided to auction off her silver medal to raise the money needed for the boy’s heart surgery. She posted about this on her Facebook account last Wednesday. The post read “It was the first fundraiser that I entered and I knew it was the right one”.

The Polish young boy Miloszek, who is in critical condition, needs heart surgery for whom everyone is praying. She also informed me that the boy already got a head start from kubus. When a generous family decided to pass on the funds they collected for their boy. Unfortunately, the boy didn’t make it so the parents decided to pass on the amount for the Polish boy.

The silver medal has been auctioned off and sold for a hefty amount of $125,000. Zabka, a polish grocery store chain, has won the Tokyo Olympics silver medal. Maria announced this news on her Instagram account. She also mentioned that the money will allow the eight-month-old boy Miloszek to receive heart surgery. Based on reports, the surgery will happen at the Stanford University Medical Center.
