We are still in the middle of the COVID crisis and most of the population is working from home. It will take some considerable time to go back to the previous lifestyle of working from an office. Most importantly, both employees and companies are facing difficulty in terms of their productivity. In work from home culture, the most important concern for everyone is increasing productivity. Here we will address some important factors that will give a boost to your productivity.

1.schedule your day one day before

It’s hard to keep track of everything we agree on, but by planning your day one day before, you can ensure to get most things done. Planning your day one before there is less chance that you will miss out on the most important things. You can list out all the most important in advance and make sure to meet all your deadlines.

2.Do your most important tasks in the morning

Many of us work better in the mornings, both our body and brain works at optimal in the mornings. So it is best to do the most demanding and creative work in the early mornings. Even if you are not an early person, still starting your day with the most important tasks gives a productivity boost.

3.Exercise

Even 5 or 10 minutes of exercise can improve your physical and brain function. By doing exercise, your body releases a healthy chemical that will help you cope with stress and anxiety. Also, exercise increases your energy levels so you can work for longer hours without feeling dizzy. You can even include little exercises between your working hours.

4.Don’t Multitask

No matter how good you think of yourself managing multiple things at once, multitasking is not the best strategy for you. Scientific research has proven that multitasking produces mediocre results. In addition, our brain works best when it concentrates on one task at a time. Studies have proven that multitaskers experience a hard time learning new things or maintaining focus for longer periods.

5.Take little breaks between

It’s always a good idea to take a little break, especially if you are working on something for a longer period. Rather than working on something continuously for hours, include some breaks in between. Suppose if you need to work 8 hours, then it’s good to take mini breaks for every one hour. Which helps you get some fresh air and relaxes your mind. So you can come back with a better mood and increased willpower to complete the task at hand.

6.Eliminate Distractions

To improve your productivity, you must eliminate all the possible distractions. Distraction means turn off notifications, sit in a quiet place and have everything you need already arranged at your desk. In this way, you will spend less time on your distractions and more time on your project. In case during a break, if you get on social media platforms then limit that time. Because it’s hard to get out of that rabbit hole once you get in.

7.Take care of yourself and get plenty of sleep

No matter how many workaholics you are, take some time off for yourself. The best things you can do for yourself are eat right, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. If you miss deadlines or work is half done, tell yourself that it is ok. When you go to bed, eliminate everything from your mind. If possible, do meditation before going to bed. It will relax your mind and improve your sleeping quality.
